The No.5 Tan Mousse was developed to give you a natural, long lasting, even tan, and your skin a silky feeling and increased elasticity. The formula is packed with some of the best active ingredients, making it serve multiple purposes, incl. blue light protection and an increased collagen production. It dries in seconds and fits even the busiest daily schedule.
The mousse texture makes it very easy to apply and, last but not least, easy for you to control – creating the perfect even natural tan.

It’s made of a fast drying, no transfer formula, which makes it easy to fit into your bi-daily morning/evening routine. The whipped foam texture makes it easy to apply, and get an even tan. The product provides your skin with a silky and smooth feeling, while increasing your skin elasticity and revitalizing aged skin cells. The active ingredients in the formula also stimulate sluggish cell vitality, metabolism, and increases the collagen production in aged skin cells. It increases your skin’s thickness and hydration, while boosting tissue repairing and cell renewal.
All of our products, including No.5, are fragrance free, without allergens and endocrine disruptors – they are made with a sensitive skin in mind as default, so it’s gentle for you and your skin.
Application
Be in cool dry areas – avoid, if possible, steamy and hot surroundings
Shake gently before use
Apply to dry skin with your hands in circular motions, from top to toe – avoid eyebrows and careful around the hairline
Wash your hands thoroughly (during) after use – and scrub gently at hard/extra dry skin (if you have any) in your palms
Wait until you feel like the product has been absorbed, and resume your day
Apply once every second or third day, depending on your skin tone and need for tan.
Key ingredients
Dihydroxyacetone, or DHA, is a colorless sugar compound mostly used in self-tanners. It can be derived synthetically, or from sugar beets and canes. When DHA interacts with the amino acids in the proteins of the skin cells, the production of melanoids – brown pigments – happens, which creates a tanned appearance.
– DHA is generally well-tolerated by most people, though it can cause both contact dermatitis (rashes, irritation, redness) as well as an allergy. We have though never experienced any customers getting allergic reactions alone from Boë’s products.
Erythrulose is a yellow to reddish sugar found in red berries, most commonly raspberries. Like DHA, it tans the skin due to a reaction with the amino acids (proteins) in the skin’s dead surface layer, producing a brownish tint.
Erythrulose’s alike DHA in how it works. None of the ingredients use the skin’s normal pigmentation or UV-exposure to produce the tan coloration. But rather works as a chemical reaction on the skin’s dead surface cell layer and changes the skin cells to a brownish tone. At Boë we blend Erythrulose with DHA – to help the tan tone appear “richer”, deeper, and more even. The combination of Erythrulose and DHA gives you a more ‘natural’ look, as Erythrulose has a warmer/darker tone than the more orangey-colored DHA. Though this can vary depending on the individual, as each person’s unique skin may differ.
