Beauty trends are known for often changing, whether it’s ‘mob wife’ or ‘clean girl’ aesthetics – a glowing skin will always be in style. The difficulty lies in maintaining the glowy, healthy complexion. Every skin is different; has different struggles and needs, and is easily affected by outstanding factors, environment, what we eat, sleep, etc. The aforementioned can easily lead to dull skin or breakouts. But thankfully, there are different ways where you can try to prevent dullness and breakouts – without having to pay the price of a yacht. One of them is self tan drops with hyaluronic acid and vitamin c, another is a night cream, and another is simply consistency. Read along to get all the good insider tips.

One thing that counts for all is; a healthy natural skin barrier is the way to a glowy, healthy looking skin. There are different ways you can achieve a strong natural skin barrier, and below we’ll guide you to some of them.

1. A Good & Consistent Skincare Routine

You’ve probably heard before that consistency in skincare routines (and routines in general), is key to success. And that really is the case with skincare. If you have a basic routine, stick to it and be consistent – and if not, get one. It truly is the key to a glowy – and healthy – skin. If you keep changing your routine, adding and removing various products, not being consistent or giving the products time to be implemented and work with your skin – especially if they are harsh – your skin will get stressed and irritated (especially with sensitive skin). And that will lead to a broken skin barrier.

At Boë we try to simplify every skincare routine, with good ingredients and products for every skin type. Our motto is Perfectly Covered With Less; you basically only need three-four products for a good skincare routine. Cleanser, serum, moisturizer/SPF/nightcream.

It’s especially here that Boë’s Duo-packages come in handy. The content of the products is the same, but with one of them, the self tan element is added. This means that your skin won’t get stressed, and you won’t break your skincare regimen, by switching between with/without self tan.

2. Use SPF Every Day – Regardless The Weather!

Using sunscreen protection every day is most likely one of the most important things you can do, to achieve a healthy and glowing skin! By using SPF, you’re shielding your skin against harmful UV-rays, which causes premature aging, wrinkles, hyperpigmentation and an uneven skin tone. The harmful UV-rays that prematures your skin, are always present (and go through windows), as long as the sun is set – therefore; SPF every day.

Boë’s No.12 & No.13 are broad-spectrum sunscreens that protect against both UVA & UVB, photoaging, and hydrates and reduces skin irritations. They’re mineral sunscreen, won’t clog your pores and are free of endocrine disruptors.

3. Hydrate Your Skin

Hydration is important for a glowy skin – even if you have oily skin, hydration is still essential. Both with moisturizing creams, like our No.8 Face Cream or No.9 Face Cream with Self Tan – and hydrating serums are important, to replenish and treat your skin’s barrier. Look after products with i.e., Hyaluronic Acid, like our No.16 and No.17 Glow Serum with Hyaluronic Acid & Vitamin C. In our Glow Serums we use Sodium hyaluronate, which is the salt form of hyaluronic acid (HA), and shares the same benefits, including its ability to retain moisture. Overall; sodium hyaluronate is a humectant and antioxidant that is excellent in replenishing the skin and moisture-binding. It keeps your skin looking plump, healthy and hydrated. It benefits your skin by its abilities in soothing, anti-aging and hydration. The main difference between HA and SH, is that the skin is better at absorbing SH.

4. Add Bakuchiol To Your Routine

Bakuchiol is known for being a more sensitive, gentle and natural alternative to retinol. Retinol and Bakuchiol share many of the same benefits, although bakuchiol isn’t sensitizing or has the irritating side effects that retinol can cause or have. Bakuchiol softens fine lines and wrinkles, evens out skin tone and improves the elasticity and firmness of your skin. It boosts collagen renewal and has multiple anti-aging benefits. Bakuchiol visibly reduces photo-damage and hyperpigmentation, and helps to even out your skin tone, aiding to give you a glass-looking glowy skin. Bakuchiol is an exceptionally gentle treater as it works as an anti-inflammatory agent, that both effectively and gently treats the bacterias getting stored in your skin, causing infection and inflammation, as it inhibits the bacteria and inflammatory pathways.

You can find Bakuchiol in our No.18 Night Cream right here.

5. Use Vitamin C

Overall, vitamin C can help your skin get a radiant, illuminating glow. Vitamin C is an antioxidant that helps to even out your skin tone, reduce hyperpigmentation and dark spots. In our No.16 & No.17 Glow Serum with Hyaluronic Acid and Vitamin C, we use Ascorbyl Glucoside, which is a form of vitamin C. Our bodies don’t naturally produce vitamin C, and it’s a tricky ingredient that is both unstable, hard to formulate, and also has difficulties in penetrating the skin. This is why we use Ascorbyl Glucoside, which has been shown to be one of the best derivatives of vitamin C. It’s stable, easy to formulate and has in-vitro studies shown no troubles with penetrating the skin. Ascorbyl Glucoside thus boosts the skin’s own collagen production, and used under sunscreen, it boosts both the UV- and photoprotection.

6. Use Self Tan, i.e., Self Tan Drops With Hyaluronic Acid And Vitamin C

An easy and effortless way to a glowy skin, is through self tan. Though many self tanners can cause breakouts and it can feel like a project to start using. But at Boë, we’ve made it our specialty to make easy to use, cruelty free, non-comedogenic, quick drying self tan. All of our self tan products are based on the tanning actives, dihydroxyacetone (DHA) and erythrulose, and it’s basically the same reaction your skin is having, as when you are getting a tan from the sun. All skin types can use Boë’s tanning products.

A great example is our self tan drops with hyaluronic acid and vitamin c. They will give you a radiant golden glow from the self tan element, besides the active ingredients working on and with your skin, towards hydrating and strengthening it. The citric acid in our self tan drops with hyaluronic acid, gently exfoliates the dead skin cells on the outermost layer, which helps to clean your pores, evens your skin tone and smoothes your skin.

With Boë’s skincare and self tan products, you’ll easily get a golden, sun kissed glow, where you can continue your skincare and makeup routine seconds after. The self tan element in our moisturizers or serums, will further even your skin tone, besides of the active ingredients from the serums.

You can also use our No.1 Tan Drops. Drop a number of drops into your facial moisturizer, mix it together and apply to your face and neck, for an even looking golden tan and hydrated feel.

At Boë we have sensitive skin as our default
