Thorough cleansing is essential and the first step of an effective skincare routine. Without it, impurities lodge on and in the skin, and active skincare ingredients cannot be optimally absorbed or used by the skin.

The Boë Cleanser No.20 – is a clean skincare product. Fragrance free and made with sensitive skin in mind. It’s our default.
The No.20 Cleanser can be recommended for all skin types. This particularly includes those having sensitive skin or suffering from i.e., acne, rosacea and irritated skin – while also those trying to decrease the appearance of signs of aging, dullness and uneven texture. If you search for a way to make an essential step up in the quality of your skincare routine, then a thorough – but sensitive – cleansing can be an essential step. Without it, impurities lodge on and in the skin, and active skincare ingredients cannot be optimally absorbed or used by the skin.
A bonus about No.20 is that it won’t affect your pH-balance in your skin negatively. No.20 Cleanser has the ideal pH at 5.0, and it prepares your skin for serums, treatment creams and moisturizers, without disturbing the delicate pH-balance or skin barrier function. This cleanser actually helps to minimize and smoothes fine lines, wrinkles and gives you an all-round youthful glow.
It’s a delicate foaming cleanser that can be used by all skin types, being gentle towards your skin and helping to rejuvenate, hydrate and create an even skin tone, besides decreasing signs of aging and removing make-up and impurities.
AM & PM-routine
Wash your hands
Pump foam (usually 2-5 pumps or according to your need) into your hand and smooth over your face and neck using circular movements, until you feel like your face is clean
Rinse off thoroughly with lukewarm water
Finish off your AM/PM routine
* PRO TIP: Always apply the thinner products first (cleanser, toners, serums, creams, etc.), and finish off with ‘sealing’ the nourishing products you’ve just applied, and protect your face with the thicker (moisturizer/SPF) product.
** PRO TIP: Apply serum on damp skin after cleansing, to get the most out of the products
Glyceryl Glucoside (Glycoin), a 100% natural, multifunctional, anti-aging, and cell-boosting active ingredient, that reactivates the power of youth in tired, stressed, and mature skin. Glycoin is an extremolyte, which is a stress protection molecule, that is produced naturally by the African resurrection plant, Myrothamnus Flabellifolia. Myrothamnus Flabellifolia grows in deserts and survives without rain. It looks withered and dead, but, as soon as it rains the plant blooms – thanks to Glycoin. These remarkable properties can be transferred to (your) skin.
Cocamidopropyl Betaine (CAPB) is a gentle cleansing ingredient that can be naturally derived (from coconuts) or manufactured synthetically, and is considered as a low-risk in sensitizing skin. When Cocamidopropyl Betaine is used in cleansers, the lathering and foaming effect is increased, and it’s the reason why No.20 has such a soft sky-ish feeling. CAPB is known to be used in many foaming products and is a gentle fatty acid and surfactant, meaning when it interacts with water, the molecules get slippery so they won’t stick together. As surfactants easily bond with dirt, oil, and other impurities, it works into lather and thus cleanses and removes it from your skin. CAPB also has a hydrating effect on your skin, due to the coconut.
NB: If you are acne-prone, we would recommend usage kept to a maximum of two times a day, so you won’t wash your face too much and cause over-production of sebum.
– When CAPB is poorly manufactured, two impurities, aminoamide (AA) and 3-dimethylaminopropylamine (DMAPA), are produced during the manufacturing process, and can cause impurities or minor allergic reactions. This is though not the case with Boë, as it is not the ingredient itself, causing the reactions, but poor or sloppy manufacturing.
Glycerin is a natural component in healthy skin. When used in skincare, it’s typically derived from vegetable fats (like coconut oil, soy or palm) or produced synthetically. The glycerin used by Boë and in our products, is found and derived from non GMO Soy Oil – which makes it 100% natural and vegan. Glycerin is a hygroscopic ingredient, meaning it attracts the moisture from the air surrounding us, and helps us to contain it in our skin. Glycerin imitates the skin’s natural moisturizing factors in the skin’s fat layer, making it crucial for the skin’s ability to tie water in the superior skin layer. Besides being an eminent humectant, glycerin protects against environmental sources of skin irritation. It strengthens the precious skin barriers, besides helping other ingredients to penetrate the skin better. Glycerin helps to maintain a healthy and good moisture balance in your skin, and when the moisture balance is ‘normal’ your skin will feel soft, smooth and elastic, making it receptive to skincare and other products. Lastly, it aids in improving the skin’s youthful look.
